Book Talk...9/28/15

Book Talk…9/28/15
Traci Krites

1.      Josette by Kathleen Bittner Roth. Zebra Books 2015. Netgalley. Josette who is born in the swamps of New Orleans has loved one man her entire life. Though she lost him to her scheming sister, when their lives intersect again due to a daughter he has never known, sparks fly. Alexia needs a firm hand and Cameron Andrews must learn how to be a father and how to heal his broken heart with her aunt. This book started a little slow for me but it picked up in speed and steam!! I enjoyed reading about the Cajun lifestyle, the deep, abiding love this family had for one another, even when one of their own turned against them. There is a depth to this book that didn’t quit and I enjoyed the ending tremendously. I will definitely be on the lookout for other books by this author!!
